Trump's Crypto Token Crashes, Leaving Young Investors Feeling Betrayed
Crypto investors who initially celebrated Donald Trump's pro-crypto stance are now expressing outrage and disappointment after his personal venture into crypto was seen as a 'cash grab'.
The young enthusiasts, who flocked to Trump in 2024, feel that he used them to enrich himself and his family, damaging the industry's image as a whole.
According to a Washington Post report, some of these investors bought extra Bitcoin and Trump's own token, $TRUMP, to celebrate the first pro-crypto U.S. president. However, after the token crashed, the promised crypto reserve did not materialize, leaving many feeling betrayed.
'What they basically did was a money grab,' said David from South Carolina. 'Why does he need to keep doing it? He's literally a billionaire. Like, how much more money does he need?'
