tZERO Brings Regulated Digital Assets to Sui Blockchain
tZERO has announced its direct integration with the Sui blockchain, allowing it to offer regulated digital asset securities on the network. This integration places Sui within tZERO's U.S.-regulated trading, custody, and issuance framework.
The partnership is designed to give institutional-grade tokenization projects access to regulated market infrastructure without having to assemble it separately.
tZERO Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alan Konevsky said that Sui's object-centric architecture offers a unique approach to regulated digital assets by making assets and their permissions programmable. This aligns closely with the permissioning requirements of regulated securities.
The integration is seen as a significant step in bringing institutional-grade tokenization projects onto the Sui network, which has already attracted a pool of developers, builders, and DeFi projects. Mustafa Al Niama, Head of Capital Markets at Mysten Labs and formerly Americas Head of Digital Assets at Goldman Sachs, noted that institutional adoption of tokenized assets depends on infrastructure that bridges blockchain innovation with regulatory frameworks.
tZERO has spent over 12 years working on U.S. market compliance and infrastructure, holding multiple registrations with the Securities and Exchange Commission and being a member of FINRA.
