UK Police Seize $1.4M in Darknet Cryptocurrency Assets
The Avon and Somerset Police force has made its biggest cryptocurrency recovery to date, seizing $1.4 million in assets from darknet markets that operated between 2016 and 2019.
Financial investigators tracked down the funds using specialized techniques, comparing data from cryptocurrency exchanges with information from seized digital assets.
The recovered assets include 20.21 Bitcoin, valued at around $1.57 million based on current prices of approximately $77,500 per coin.
