Uniswap Surpasses $70 Billion in Trading Volume Amid Decentralized Exchange Dominance
Uniswap has processed over $70 billion in trading volume over the past month, exceeding the combined volume of the next three decentralized exchanges. According to DeFiLlama data, Uniswap v3 and v4 accounted for roughly $32 billion and nearly $38 billion, respectively, in trading volume during this period.
Uniswap operates across multiple blockchain networks, allowing traders to swap assets through automated liquidity pools directly. The protocol's total covers deployments on Ethereum and numerous scaling networks, including Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Polygon, OP Mainnet, and Robinhood Chain.
The claim comes from DeFiLlama Research, which attributes the result as evidence that a large portion of decentralized spot trading continues to pass through Uniswap's protocol. However, it's essential to note that volume represents the dollar value of swaps processed by the protocol, not how much profit traders made or how much revenue reached UNI holders.
