Uniswap Token Price Surges 28% Amid SEC's AMM Framework Introduction
The Uniswap (UNI) token price surged by over 28% after the US Securities and Exchange Commission introduced an AMM framework for tokenized securities. This regulatory structure aligns with Uniswap's v4 architecture, but it doesn't explicitly approve or endorse the platform.
Uniswap rolled out its Permissioned Pools feature in July, partnering with Superstate, Securitize, and Dowgo. These specialized pools limit participation to verified wallet addresses through blockchain-based compliance mechanisms, making them ideal for the SEC's newly announced regulatory structure.
The UNI token broke through the $6.50 resistance barrier, reaching as high as $8.86 before stabilizing at around $8.53. Open interest expanded to 11.21 million UNI tokens, indicating increased involvement in the derivatives marketplace.
