Uniswap's Dominance in DeFi Ecosystem May Be Followed by Price Reversal
Uniswap's recent performance has been impressive, with its V4 protocol handling over 50% of the total DEX volumes on the Ethereum ecosystem since late August last year.
This marks a significant achievement for Uniswap, which has been rapidly gaining traction in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. In fact, according to Token Terminal data, Uniswap is now the second-largest DeFi protocol by tokenized commodities, with Aave securing the top position at 51.3% of deposits.
The surge in demand for Uniswap's services has also led to a significant increase in its native cryptocurrency's price, which has risen by over 86% so far this month. However, some analysts believe that the UNI price may be due for a pullback as part of its cup-and-handle price pattern, with potential losses reaching up to 50% or more.
