Uniswap's Hayden Adams Slams High-Fee Launchpads as 'Extractive'
Hayden Adams, the founder of Uniswap, has announced the launch of 'Pools,' a new feature on the decentralized exchange (DEX). In an apparent jab at high-fee launchpads, Adams described these platforms as 'extractive' in a recent statement.
The introduction of Pools aims to provide users with more liquidity and better trading experiences. This move comes after criticisms of launchpads, which charge high fees for listing new tokens. According to Adams, such platforms prioritize profit over user needs, leading him to coin the term 'extractive' to describe them.
Adams did not specify exactly how Pools will operate or what features it will offer. However, he emphasized that Uniswap's approach focuses on providing a more equitable experience for users, rather than prioritizing profits.
