Upbit Lists Curve Governance Token for Trading in KRW and USDT Pairs
South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has listed Curve (CRV), the governance token of the Curve Finance decentralized exchange, for trading in KRW and USDT pairs. Trading will begin at 4:00 a.m. UTC on the day of the announcement, with deposits opening two hours prior.
The listing marks a significant expansion into South Korea, where the KRW market typically serves as the primary venue for retail traders. Curve Finance is optimized for stablecoin trading and low-slippage swaps, and CRV is used for governance and fee-sharing within the protocol.
For South Korean traders, the new CRV/KRW pair offers a direct fiat on-ramp, eliminating the need to first convert to a stablecoin or another cryptocurrency. However, as with any volatile digital asset, potential investors should conduct their own research and be mindful of price swings that often accompany new listings.
