US Bank Column Launches Native Stablecoin Banking Services
Column, a US bank that provides infrastructure for major fintech companies, has launched stablecoin banking services. The service supports USDC and USDT on Solana, Ethereum, and other networks, with real-time conversion to and from fiat currencies.
The key feature of Column's stablecoin rails is that they are native to the bank's core ledger system. This means that incoming stablecoins convert to USD instantly, and outgoing transfers settle on-chain in seconds without any prefunding or middlemen.
Column's integration with major fiat payment networks such as ACH, FedNow, Fedwire, RTP, SWIFT, and checks allows fintech clients to receive USDC on Solana, have it reflected as USD in their Column account instantly, and then push that money out via traditional rails.
Solana is the default network for Column's stablecoin services due to its reputation for speed and low transaction costs. Ethereum and other networks are also supported.
