US Companies Hoard 1.24M BTC, Now Holding 92.7% of Global Public Firm Reserves
US-listed companies are rapidly accumulating Bitcoin, holding a total of 1.24 million BTC as of now. This represents an astonishing 92.7% of all Bitcoin held by publicly traded firms worldwide.
The pace of accumulation is staggering, with U.S.-listed companies adding 510,000 BTC to their balance sheets over the past year. This exceeds new supply by a significant margin, outpacing newly mined Bitcoin during the same period.
The trend reflects growing institutional acceptance and adoption of Bitcoin as a legitimate treasury reserve asset among mainstream corporations. However, it also raises concerns about centralization of supply, with a small number of companies holding a large share of the total supply.
