US Jobs Report Crushes Expectations: Bitcoin Reacts Instantly
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics released its latest report on nonfarm payrolls, showing a significant drop in jobs added compared to expectations. The actual number stood at 29,000, while economists had forecasted 90,000 new jobs.
Last month's report was revised down from 162,000 to 133,000, which likely contributed to the weaker-than-expected result this time around.
The lower payrolls data is expected to heighten dovish Federal Reserve expectations, reducing rate pressure and potentially benefiting crypto and token performance. This could lead to increased activity in decentralized finance (DeFi) and decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volumes, as well as higher liquidity on centralized exchanges (CEX), better fundraising prospects, and broader adoption.
