US Loses Over 11,000 Bitcoin ATMs in 2026 Amid Cryptocurrency Market Downtrend

The number of Bitcoin ATMs in the U.S. has seen a significant decline this year, falling by over 11,000 units since the start of 2026.

This represents a drop of 36.92% from the initial 30,924 ATMs at the beginning of the year to just 19,506 remaining as of September 24.

The trend is also visible globally, with over 12,000 Bitcoin ATMs lost so far in 2026, although other major Western markets have seen less severe declines.
