US Senate Finds Widespread Use of USDT Among Iran-Linked Wallets
A US Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations has found widespread use of Tether's stablecoin USDT among Iran-linked wallets.
The investigation examined 846 wallets identified by US and Israeli authorities, finding that 87% used USDT almost exclusively.
Much of the activity was traced through Tron, where USDT is widely used for fast settlement and liquidity, raising concerns about potential sanctions evasion.
