Utexo Brings USDT to Bitcoin Network
Utexo, a project backed by Tether, is launching USDT on the Bitcoin network this month, according to commentator @WuBlockchain. This move aims to expand Bitcoin's functionality and provide new avenues for crypto transactions, enhancing the ecosystem's overall infrastructure.
The integration of USDT on Bitcoin will leverage the RGB protocol, allowing for private transfers and native swaps between BTC and USDT. Utexo co-founder Viktor Ihnatiuk stated that the company has secured a commercial license and will offer developers APIs and SDKs for seamless integration into wallets and exchanges.
This expansion could significantly impact trading volume and order book dynamics across major exchanges. Traders are keen to observe how this development unfolds, especially regarding its implications for Bitcoin's role in decentralized finance.
