Van de Poppe Adjusts $180K Portfolio Ahead of October Altcoin Surge
Michaël van de Poppe revealed that his portfolio has surpassed $180,000, with key positions in $NEAR, $EIGEN, $TAO, $PLUME, and $W as he prepares for October's altcoin movements. The crypto strategist noted that Bitcoin's recent higher high has shifted the market structure from bearish to bullish, while $ARB and $SUI have also broken out, reinforcing the upward trend.
Van de Poppe shared his adjustments to his holdings, trimming $NEAR after its surge from $1.20 to over $4. He continues to hold $EIGEN within its nine-month accumulation range, attributing its performance to the weak Ethereum narrative. Additionally, he maintains his long-standing exposure to $TAO, citing the ongoing rotation in the AI sector.
On the technical front, Ethereum is trading at $2690.89, closely following the EMA50 at $2692.91, with the EMA200 providing long-term support at $2587.82. The MACD death cross at 4.1 suggests a bearish trend, but the RSI at 46.95 remains neutral. Analysts expect a test of upper resistance at $2729.5, which could lead to a pullback toward the lower Bollinger band at $2662.41 before the next significant move.
