VeChain has successfully implemented its Interstellar hard fork on mainnet, marking the third and final phase of the network's 'Renaissance' overhaul. The fork activated at block height 25,902,540, as scheduled, and brings VeChainThor closer to EVM equivalence with the Ethereum Virtual Machine.

The upgrade bundles 11 Ethereum Improvement Proposals into a single release, closing the gap between VeChainThor's execution layer and the current state of Ethereum. This includes transient storage, native cryptographic precompiles, and lower-cost contract patterns, all designed to increase efficiency and compatibility with the wider Ethereum ecosystem.

VeChain emphasized that this is a protocol-level upgrade, not a token event, meaning no token migration or wallet swap is required for everyday VET holders. The update primarily affects validators, exchanges, and node operators who needed to run the updated Thor client ahead of activation.
