Virtune Launches Zcash ETP on Nasdaq Stockholm
Virtune AB, a Swedish regulated digital asset manager, has launched the Virtune Zcash ETP on Nasdaq Stockholm, the largest stock exchange in the Nordics. The company, which has gained the trust of over 160,000 investors since its 2023 launch, now manages approximately USD 380 million in assets under management (AUM). Virtune holds more than 90% market share for crypto ETNs on Nasdaq Nordics, solidifying its position as a leading issuer of regulated crypto ETPs in Europe.
The Virtune Zcash ETP is a physically backed exchange-traded product designed to offer investors a secure and cost-effective way to gain exposure to Zcash (ZEC). The product features 1:1 exposure to ZEC, is 100% physically backed by ZEC, and has an annual management fee of 1.49%. It began trading on Tuesday, 6 October 2026, under the ticker VIRZEC, with SEK as the trading currency.
Zcash is a payment blockchain that emphasizes privacy, allowing users to choose between transparent and shielded addresses. Launched in 2016 and built from Bitcoin’s original code, ZEC has a maximum supply of 21 million units. Christopher Kock, CEO of Virtune, stated, "In May 2023, we launched our first product on Nasdaq Stockholm.
