Visa and Mesh have teamed up to let consumers spend cryptocurrencies and stablecoins directly from their digital wallets at over 175 million merchant locations worldwide. The collaboration, announced Monday, allows users of participating wallets to make in-store or online purchases without transferring funds to a bank account or using a separate crypto card. Merchants will receive payments through Visa’s existing network without needing to update their checkout systems.
Mesh will handle transaction funding and currency conversion, while Visa payment credentials will be provisioned through participating wallet apps. The company will also manage customer onboarding and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. Details on participating wallets, supported devices, and launch dates will be shared as rollout plans are finalized.
The partnership follows Mesh’s integration with Bybit Pay in September, which enabled users to spend directly from their exchange balances. In January, Mesh raised $75 million in a Dragonfly-led funding round, valuing the company at $1 billion.
