Vitalik Proposes New Transaction Model to Boost Ethereum Scalability
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has proposed a new transaction model that could improve the blockchain's scalability without compromising its flexible execution environment.
The draft EIP-8141 separates transaction actions from dependencies, allowing for parallel processing of validation tasks. This approach enables the verification of signatures and static checks at the mempool level, reducing repeated work by validators.
The proposal could potentially lower gas costs for predictable transactions while maintaining support for complex contract calls. However, EIP-8141 is still under developer review and requires further testing and consensus before it can be deployed on Ethereum's mainnet.
