Whale Accumulation and Bullish Signals Push Dogecoin 3% Higher
Dogecoin recently rose by approximately 3 percentage points over the last 45 hours, driven by a combination of whale accumulation, bullish technical signals, and a mildly positive crypto market backdrop.
The large holders, or 'whales', have been steadily buying Dogecoin near the $0.07 area, reinforcing this zone as support. They added over 430 million DOGE in a week, raising their holdings from about 18.47 billion to nearly 18.85 billion DOGE while the price sat near $0.07.
The accumulation of DOGE by whales has been framed as positioning for upside, with key resistance at $0.0813 where over 30 billion DOGE previously changed hands. Finbold analysis of Dogecoin breakout notes that when large wallet cohorts consistently buy into a narrow price band, that zone often becomes a de-facto support level.
The bullish technical signals on DOGE include a rare convergence of TD Sequential monthly buy signal and candlestick pattern, similar to one from August 2022 that preceded a roughly 145 percent monthly rally. The tightest Bollinger Band squeeze since late 2023 also suggests extreme volatility compression and an impending expansion in one direction or the other.
