Whale Buying Spree Boosts XRP Price by 8.22%
XRP has seen an impressive 8.22% price increase over the past three days following a significant accumulation of the asset by large holders, known as whales.
Data from Santiment shows that these whales added approximately $2.2 billion worth of XRP to their holdings between September 16 and September 19, with the largest increase occurring on September 17.
The total whale holdings increased from around 8.1 billion XRP before the accumulation period to approximately 9.7 billion XRP by September 19.
In related data, Glassnode's UTXO Realized Price Distribution (URPD) chart shows several price levels where substantial amounts of XRP previously changed hands, with $1.60 being the largest visible supply cluster immediately above the current price region.
