Whale Investors Quietly Adjust SHIB Positions Amid Price Recovery
While SHIB's price recovery was making headlines, a different story was unfolding in the background. Whales were quietly adjusting their positions, contrary to what retail investors might have expected.
A look at the last 30 days of data reveals a significant shift in whale behavior. On July 5, there was a net inflow of $6.2 million, with 57% of transactions being buys. However, by July 29, this trend had reversed, with a net outflow of $3.1 million and buying dropping to just 33%. In the same time frame, SHIB's price gained over 11%.
According to Evgenia, the analyst behind the OKX Orbit content, 'whales often use strength in the market to reduce exposure without attracting attention.' While this doesn't necessarily guarantee a reversal, it does suggest that smart money is changing its behavior.
