Whale Position and Upcoming Hardfork Fuel Bullish Sentiment for Binance Coin
A significant whale position in Binance Coin (BNB) has sparked bullish sentiment in the altcoin market. The whale borrowed capital from Venus Protocol to buy over $8.5 million worth of BNB, with 8,474 tokens acquired and transferred to Venus. This move indicates a positive outlook for BNB as the broader crypto market cools off.
The whale's strategy involved using the purchased BNB to borrow more capital from Venus, which was then used to buy additional BNB on Binance. This lending loop has contributed to the altcoin's bullish sentiment, with whales borrowing capital to go long on BNB.
The upcoming Pasteur Hardfork on BNB's mainnet is another bullish indicator, set to activate in 24 hours. The upgrade aims to improve bridges and validator protections, as well as increase throughput. However, the BNB Spot ETFs have been underperforming, with a cumulative total net inflow of only $1.19 million.
The price charts show that BNB has broken out of its sideways range, but is now facing resistance at the $700-$720 zone. The Bollinger Bands (BBs) indicate a volatile market, while the MACD remains bullish despite faint bars. If BNB clears the resistance zone, the next price targets are set around $950 or higher.
