White Hats Recover $84k in Bitcoin from Coldcard Exploit

A recent Bitcoin transaction has revealed that white-hat hackers have recovered approximately 52.37 BTC ($84,059) from the Coldcard exploit.

The recovery was announced by Galaxy researcher Alex Thorn, who linked a September 21st Bitcoin transaction to the Crypto Recovery Trust claims reference.

Thorn directed Coldcard owners to search their public Bitcoin addresses on the trust's website to determine if they are eligible for recovery. A match can initiate an ownership claim, subject to verification by the trust.

The amount recovered represents 2.8% of the exploit funds tracked by Galaxy.
