A group of 'white hats' has successfully transferred Bitcoin rescued from wallets exposed by a Coldcard vulnerability to a trust fund set up to return the funds to victims. The transfer, totaling 52.37 BTC, was made to an address controlled by Wyoming-based Crypto Recovery Trust.

Galaxy Digital head of research Alex Thorn reported that about 40% of the Bitcoin associated with the second wave of the Coldcard vulnerability were swept by white hats to protect victims' funds.

Thorn mentioned that 3.0134 BTC included in the transfer came from addresses Galaxy had not previously tracked, suggesting they may have also been rescued from wallets affected by the Coldcard flaw. However, Thorn noted that Galaxy could not confirm their origin.
