White House Cryptocurrency Advisor Optimistic on CLARITY Act Vote
The White House's digital assets council executive director, Patrick Witt, expressed optimism about the CLARITY Act ahead of an initial procedural vote in the Senate. According to Witt, Republicans had accepted 95% of the Democratic negotiating team's demands on the bill, and President Donald Trump was willing to compromise further on government ethics provisions.
Witt argued that the CLARITY Act deserves bipartisan support, citing lengthy negotiations between parties as evidence of its value. He dismissed banking-sector concerns over stablecoin rewards triggering deposit outflows as entirely hypothetical and speculative.
