White House Reviews SEC’s Crypto Broker Rule Proposal

Share

The White House is currently examining a proposal from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that aims to modify how brokers can engage with digital assets. This proposal was submitted to the Trump administration’s Office of Management and Budget earlier this week, as indicated by a notice on the agency’s website.

President Donald Trump has previously pledged to position the US as the “crypto capital of the world” and signed an executive order in 2025. That order sought to create “regulatory clarity” for digital financial technology, aligning with the current review of the SEC’s proposal.
