Winklevoss Sees $65K as 'Time Machine' to Buy Bitcoin
Cameron Winklevoss, co-founder of Gemini, sees Bitcoin's price drop to $65,000 as a buying opportunity for investors. He compares it to a 'time machine' that allows them to go back in time and invest in the cryptocurrency at this price.
In an X post on Tuesday, Winklevoss wrote: 'The AI trade has given the world a time machine to go back in time and invest in Bitcoin at $65k.' He believes that the current setup is 'an unprecedented time to buy the dip, hiding in plain sight.'
The Gemini co-founder's comments come as Bitcoin's price crossed $65,000 in intraday trading for the first time in over a week. The cryptocurrency has been fluctuating wildly, with some market watchers predicting that it will continue to decline.
Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital, disagrees with Winklevoss' view. He maintains a $100,000 long-term target for Bitcoin and believes that the next major catalyst will be the 2028 halving, which is still about 20 months away.
