X Integrates Crypto Trading into Social Feed

Crypto exchange Kraken has joined X's US Cashtag partner program, making it easier for users to access cryptocurrency trading from within their social feed.

On X, users can now tap on a Cashtag link, such as $BTC or $ETH, which brings up posts and a price chart. Tapping the trading link then sends users directly to Kraken's app or website where they can sign in or register and complete a purchase.

This integration aims to reduce the distance between discovering an asset and reaching somewhere that sells it. Historically, this distance has been surprisingly long for crypto.
