X Sues Bitcoin Account Operators Over Alleged $278K Creator Earnings Fraud

X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has filed a lawsuit in England and Wales against alleged operators of Bitcoin-themed accounts. The company claims the defendants manipulated engagement to collect payouts from its former creator revenue-sharing program.

The lawsuit seeks to recover at least £207,384 ($278,000) in creator earnings that X says were fraudulently obtained. It names Vivek Kumar Sen and Zamyang Sherpa as defendants, along with unidentified account operators.

X alleges the defendants coordinated multiple accounts to artificially inflate engagement for creator payouts. The company claims the accounts used reposting, liking, and near-identical posts to create a 'false appearance of genuine' interaction.
