XProtocol Unveils DePIN Phone XForge at $299

XProtocol is set to release XForge, an Android-powered gaming smartphone that will serve as the world's first 'DePIN phone.' This device will connect with the layer-3 network built by XProtocol atop Coinbase's Base layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum.

The XForge features 256GB of storage and a strong Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, but its competitive price point of $299 sets it apart from other gaming smartphones. In contrast to its predecessors, XProtocol plans to migrate further onto an independent layer-1 network in order to gain 'greater autonomy and scalability.'

XProtocol foresees a future where the DePIN network is powered not just by software running on XForge handsets but also by dedicated Xardian Nodes. This vision of decentralized physical infrastructure networks marks an ambitious roadmap for the company.
