XRP Asia Launches, Aims to Grow XRPL Across Asia
XRP Asia, a new group focused on growing the XRP Ledger (XRPL) across the Asia Pacific region, has officially launched at XRP Seoul 2026. Led by Sabrina Tachdjian, former vice president of the Hedera Foundation, the group aims to bring more businesses, developers, and financial institutions onto the network.
The launch comes just before two major XRPL upgrades, Batch and Permission Delegation, planned for early October 2026. These upgrades will allow companies to delegate transaction signing without giving up control of their main wallets and will also enable multiple transactions to be grouped and processed in a single ledger entry, improving speed and efficiency for high-volume activity.
XRP Asia's strategy covers four areas: technology, startup success, community, and marketing. The group plans to support developers through training, micro-grants, early stage investments, and go-to-market support, with a focus extending beyond DeFi to retail applications, AI-based payments, and non-financial enterprise use cases.
