XRP Could Hit $100 in Three Years Says Vincent Van Code
Software engineer and XRP commentator Vincent Van Code has predicted that the price of XRP could surge to $100 or more within the next three years. His forecast is based on the gradual buildup of confidence in the cryptocurrency, which he believes will drive its value upward in a "saw tooth" pattern. Van Code argues that markets do not always price distant outcomes immediately, citing Bitcoin and Ethereum as examples that traded far below their eventual highs for years.
At the time of Van Code's prediction, XRP was trading around $1.49 on October 4, with a market capitalization of roughly $94 billion. A price target of $100 would imply a market valuation of approximately $6.3 trillion, making it one of the largest financial assets in the world. This target is significantly more ambitious than previous bull-market performances for XRP.
The prediction has sparked debate, particularly around the timing of market pricing for future adoption. Van Code pushes back against the argument that a credible path to $100 should have already driven XRP to $20, asserting that conviction can build incrementally as adoption and confidence increase. Other analysts, such as Ali Martinez, have proposed more moderate targets, with Martinez mapping a potential $60 XRP target contingent on securing a monthly close above $3.66.
The feasibility of such a high valuation remains a key hurdle, as it would require XRP to become a major financial asset. Previous discussions, including those by former Ripple CTO David Schwartz, have challenged extreme forecasts, suggesting that credible expectations of such returns should already influence the current market price.
