XRP ETF Inflows Rebound as Bitcoin and Ethereum Funds Suffer Heavy Outflows
XRP ETFs defied market trends by attracting fresh inflows of $3.5 million on September 16, while Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs suffered significant outflows totaling $520 million.
According to SoSoValue data, XRP ETFs in the US saw no net flow on September 15 but recorded a net inflow of $3.5 million on September 16, with Franklin Templeton's XRPZ leading the way at $3.5013 million.
This latest inflow brings total XRP ETF inflows to around $1.72 billion and total assets under management near $1.4 billion. Despite this fresh influx of capital, XRP's price remained stagnant at $1.30, failing to make a significant move higher.
Conversely, Bitcoin ETFs faced heavy selling, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recording net outflows of $295.98 million on September 16, led by BlackRock's IBIT at around $144.1 million. Ethereum ETFs also saw strong outflows, losing approximately $224.11 million, with BlackRock's ETHA leading the selling at about $110 million.
The Federal Reserve's latest rate hike to 3.75-4% may have contributed to this trend, as higher interest rates can make investors more cautious of risky assets. However, XRP ETFs continued to attract fresh money despite these broader market pressures.
