XRP Ledger Burn Rate Jumps 848%, but Is It Bullish?
The XRP Ledger has seen an unprecedented increase in burn rate, rising by 848% recently. This surge comes as the token trades at $1.51, holding above its 200-day moving average of $1.37 after breaking a descending trendline earlier this month.
Network activity is back on track, with transactions totaling 2.9 million, up 276.6%, and successful transactions reaching 1.9 million, up 172.6%. Payments are also up 129.9% to 1.2 million.
However, not all of this increased activity is deemed bullish. Roughly one million of the 2.9 million transactions did not succeed, meaning about a third failed. Failed transactions can still consume fees on the XRPL, which may indicate spam or bot-driven activity rather than real economic use.
