XRP Ledger Delays Permission Delegation by 3 Days to October 8
The XRP Ledger's PermissionDelegationV1_1 amendment, which will allow accounts to delegate individual rights to other accounts without surrendering their master key, is set to go live on October 8, 2026, not October 5 as previously reported by some trade outlets.
The ledger itself shows that the necessary majority was only recorded on September 24, 2026, at 21:25 UTC, which pushes the earliest date for the amendment to take effect to October 8.
PermissionDelegationV1_1, also known as XLS-75, currently has 29 out of 35 trusted validators in favor, just above the 28-vote threshold. The amendment was introduced with version 3.3.0 of the reference server software, and the leading nodes are now running version 3.4.1.
The change works through a transaction type called DelegateSet, which allows one account to grant individual powers to another account, with a ceiling of ten powers per delegation entry.
