XRP Ledger Enters New Phase of Development with Focus on Lending and Privacy
The XRP Ledger is entering a significant phase of development, according to Vet, a top XRPL validator. Technical analyst ALLINCRYPTO highlighted this in a tweet, citing comments from Vet.
Vet discussed several features that could increase financial activity on the network, including on-chain credit, under-collateralized lending, confidential balances, and increased tokenization.
On-chain credit is one potential development, which could allow borrowers to access credit without providing assets that fully cover the value of their loans. This approach resembles traditional finance but uses blockchain infrastructure.
Vet also mentioned privacy as an important technical improvement coming soon. An amendment vote could take place within days regarding encrypted balances and amounts on the XRP Ledger. If approved, users would be able to conduct transactions while keeping balance and transaction amount information confidential.
