XRP Ledger Hub Topples 500 Peers Amid XRPL 3.4.0 Upgrade
The XRP Ledger hub has surpassed 500 peers for the first time in two weeks, according to a report from David Schwartz. The XRP CTO Emeritus noted that his private XRPL hub returned above 500 active peer connections, with fewer peer disconnects during the past two weeks.
Schwarz's chart showed 501 active peers, close to a two-week high of 509. He said the reason for the improvement is still unclear.
The update comes as XRP Ledger version 3.4.0 rolls out with peer-message handling changes, lending amendments, and other server fixes. The latest release of xrpld, the XRP Ledger reference server, introduces new safeguards to limit malformed or excessive peer traffic.
