XRP Ledger Hub Tops 500 Peers as XRPL 3.4.0 Upgrade Brings Stability

XRP Ledger's infrastructure has seen significant improvements in recent weeks, with David Schwartz's private XRPL hub returning above 500 active peer connections. This marks a near two-week high of 509 connections and a notable increase from earlier instability that reduced the hub's peer count.

Schwarz, Ripple CTO Emeritus, attributed this improvement to fewer peer disconnects during the past two weeks. He reported 501 active peers in his chart, which is close to the recent peak of 509. However, the reason for this improvement remains unclear and Schwartz has not linked it directly to the XRPL 3.4.0 upgrade.

The XRPL 3.4.0 update introduced peer-message safeguards and lending changes, among other server fixes. While these updates could contribute to improved stability, Schwartz emphasized that they are not the cause of the hub's stronger connection count. The timing of the release overlaps with the improvement in hub connections but the exact reason remains unconfirmed.

XRP trades near $1.32 and has been moving higher alongside the broader crypto market. Crypto market analyst Ali Martinez believes XRP is forming an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern on the daily chart, with a potential breakout above the neckline at $1.55 confirming the setup. A confirmed move above this level could point towards $2, about 35% above the neckline area.
