XRP Ledger Proposes Lending Features Amid Strong Institutional Interest

The XRP Ledger is considering two key amendments to introduce Single Asset Vaults and lending protocols. These features, proposed in XLS-65 and XLS-66, would enable on-chain institutional credit by allowing pooled assets to finance uncollateralized loans with off-chain credit assessments. Currently, support from validators is around 34-37%, far below the 80% needed for activation.

These amendments aim to expand XRP's use beyond transaction fees and potentially allow users to earn returns through lending. However, institutional interest in XRP remains strong, highlighted by significant inflows into XRP ETFs.
