XRP Ledger Sees 200% Surge in Active Users Amid Mixed Network Activity
XRP Ledger's recent performance has been quite impressive, with some indicators showing a significant increase of about 200%. Active users have surged by 211% to approximately 498,200. The number of transactions per ledger also reached 191.68 after an additional 191.3% increase.
However, the picture is not entirely optimistic when looking at other metrics. Successful transactions decreased by 31.3% to 697,300, while total transactions fell by 42.7% to 771,300. New account creation plummeted by 85.2% to just 340.
One notable contradiction lies in the payment volume data. Despite an increase of 5% in payments to roughly 540,700, the total payment volume decreased by 89.2% to approximately 45.2 million XRP. Transaction fees also dropped by 79.3%, leading to a surge in XRP's price.
The price structure is another bullish signal. After rising from around $1.00 to $1.70 during its August breakout, XRP is currently trading close to $1.37. Crucially, it remains slightly above its 200-day moving average of $1.35. A recovery towards $1.45-$1.50 could rekindle upward momentum.
