XRP Ledger trading activity surged in the second quarter, with an average daily order-book volume increasing by 79% year-over-year. According to a report from digital asset treasury company Evernorth, the XRP Ledger averaged 3.57 million XRP per day in the three months through June.

This growth in trade size came despite a decline in the number of accounts executing trades each day, which fell to 1,111 from 1,864. As a result, average daily trading per account rose significantly to 3,217 XRP from 1,072 XRP a year earlier.

Order-book activity accounted for 81% of on-chain trading during the quarter, up from 54% in the same period last year. The report also noted that liquidity on the XRP Ledger continued to expand beyond XRP itself, with the average supply of RLUSD (Ripple's dollar-pegged stablecoin) reaching $539 million in the second quarter.

RLUSD's share of its total supply held on the XRP Ledger increased to 34% from 20% over the same period. Evernorth highlighted that this growth occurred while the broader stablecoin market contracted for the first time since 2023.
