XRP Ledger Set for Rare 100% Consensus Update in 72 Hours
The XRP Ledger is preparing for a rare update with 100% consensus, as indicated by data from XRPScan. The fixBatchV1_2 amendment is set to go live on the mainnet within 72 hours, surpassing the network’s standard 80% majority threshold. This update, part of the xrpld 3.4.1 version released on September 25, is a default yes amendment, meaning no manual voting is required.
The fixBatchV1_2 amendment addresses a minor issue with the Batch feature, though it does not pose any risk to funds. Developers have not yet shared the technical details of the fix, but a report is expected after activation. The amendment is scheduled to activate on October 9 alongside the BatchV1_1 amendment, provided validator support remains above 80% continuously.
The Batch feature allows multiple transactions to be processed together, and the BatchV1_1 amendment replaces the original Batch feature to fix a critical bug. Additionally, the Smart Escrow Devnet has been updated to its ninth release, with the old endpoints retired.
