XRP Ledger's BatchV1_1 Upgrade Delayed as Validator Support Falls Below Threshold

The XRP Ledger's BatchV1_1 upgrade has been delayed after validator support briefly fell below the required threshold of 80%. The original activation date was set for September 29, but a two-week countdown will now start anew if support remains above 80%.

The XRP Ledger requires an amendment to maintain support from more than 80% of trusted validators continuously for two weeks before it can become part of the live network. In this case, support fell below the threshold on September 25, but was regained by September 25 with 30 out of 35 trusted validators supporting the upgrade.

The BatchV1_1 upgrade will now activate around October 9 at 14:46 UTC if the current level of support remains. This delay demonstrates the conditional nature of XRPL upgrade dates and highlights that releasing code does not guarantee a fixed activation date.
