XRP Posts Historic Q3 Performance, But Can It Repeat the Feat in Q4?
XRP's third quarter was historic for several reasons. It marked the first time in XRP's history that all three months of the quarter - July, August, and September - closed positive. This is a significant milestone as past years saw some positive quarters despite one month closing red.
The quarterly gain exceeded 43%, fueled by institutional demand through U.S. spot XRP ETFs and a short squeeze in September. Exchange balances also dropped from approximately 12.9 billion to 11 billion XRP since April, indicating sustained outflows.
While the Q3 performance is impressive, history suggests that repeating this feat in Q4 may be challenging. October has been XRP's weakest month on average, with a mean return of -4.71% and red closes in both 2024 and 2025. However, the broader fourth quarter averages a 13.3% gain due to strong November and December performances.
