XRP Price Plummets Below $1 as Network Activity and Adoption Slow
Ripple's XRP token has been experiencing a decline in value, with its price falling to $1.0049 - its lowest level since breaking above $1 in the last quarter of 2024.
The weekly losses for XRP amount to about 7%, taking the yearly drawdown to 69.4%. This bears out the bearish technical outlook that has been present since early July 2025, when XRP recorded a high of $3.658.
The altcoin's price is currently below its 9 and 21 Simple Moving Averages (SMAs), with the Money Flow Index (MFI) having dropped into an oversold territory of 20.42.
Network activity has also been a contributing factor to XRP's weakness, with the number of monthly active addresses decreasing by 9.40% since peaking at 654.2K in December 2024.
