XRP Trails Behind Bitcoin and Solana in Recovery from 2026 Losses
XRP is currently lagging behind other major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Solana, having lost around 17% of its value in 2026. In contrast, Bitcoin has only dropped by about 4%, while Solana is down roughly 3%. This disparity raises questions about why XRP's recovery has been slower.
Despite outperforming Bitcoin with a 10% gain over the past month, XRP still needs to increase by approximately 21% to return to its starting point for the year. Meanwhile, Bitcoin only needs a 4% gain to break even.
The disparity in losses is significant: XRP has lost about 46% over the past 12 months, compared to Bitcoin's 23% and Solana's 40%. This larger decline means that XRP requires a more substantial recovery to regain its previous value.
