XRP vs Ethereum: Standard Chartered's 2028 Price Targets Expose Wide Gap
Standard Chartered has published 2028 price targets for both XRP and Ethereum. Currently, 1,000 XRP is worth $1,420, while a single Ethereum costs $2,490.
The bank's predictions suggest that XRP could reach $12.60 by the end of 2028, while Ethereum may hit $25,000. However, to close the gap between holding 1,000 XRP and a single ETH, XRP would need to substantially outperform its own bank-published forecasts.
According to Standard Chartered, if Ethereum falls to its bear case of $1,400, 1,000 XRP would only need to trade at $1.40 to match it. However, if Ethereum reaches its bull case of $25,000, XRP would need to reach $25, a gain of over 1,660% from today.
The bank has tied the acceleration of XRP ETF inflows beyond its own $4-$8 billion threshold to XRP moving up its ladder. If this scenario plays out, our view that 1 Ethereum is more likely to be worth more than 1,000 XRP by 2028 may change.
