XRP Whale Transfers Hit Six-Month High as Big Holders Move Tokens to Binance
Large XRP holders have been sending more of their tokens to Binance over the past month, with whale transfers reaching their highest level in six months.
According to CryptoQuant contributor Arab Chain, about 1.6 billion XRP was moved from whale wallets to Binance in the last 30 days, a significant increase from previous months.
This influx of XRP into exchanges means that the tokens can be traded more easily, potentially increasing their availability in the market short-term.
However, Arab Chain notes that higher exchange inflows do not necessarily mean whales are planning to sell. Large holders may move XRP for reasons such as trading or managing liquidity.
Santiment's on-chain data also suggests that large XRP holders were accumulating tokens before the recent price surge of 72% between August 17 and August 21.
