YGG Play Shuts Down: Waifu Sweeper and LOL Land Meet Their End
Yield Guild Games is shutting down its publishing arm, YGG Play, and two of its first-party games, Waifu Sweeper and LOL Land. The platform will go dark on July 31, leaving players with a limited time to cash out their in-game point balances for $YGG rewards.
According to the game's announcement, unconverted balances won't simply disappear, but players are urged to convert them before the platform closes. Any manual support will cease on July 31, leaving no help desk for any issues that arise after that date.
Waifu Sweeper made its debut in December 2025 and managed less than eight months of gameplay. Its revenue peaked in October 2025, reaching $3 million, but declined thereafter due to market fluctuations.
The guild plans to redirect its resources towards a new business line: selling gaming datasets for AI model training. This decision was made after Yield Guild Games' Q1 2026 results showed a $20.6 million treasury, with roughly $6 million held in stablecoins and large-cap tokens.
